The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a museum of living flowers and plants. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden was founded in 1910 and is an  52-acre  urban sanctuary that features more than 12,000 species and cultivars of plants from around the world. With every season there is so much to see in the many gardens within The Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Housed within the Gardens is the  Steinhardt Conservatory which houses the Garden’s collection of plants that live in habitats ranging from the tropics to deserts. There is also the beautiful Japanese Hill and Garden Pond and the Cherry Esplanade and Cherry Walk.  The Brooklyn Botanic Garden will be expanding the Discovery Garden for kids with new interactive exhibits expected to open in 2015. In the meantime on most weekday mornings from April to November staff is on hand offering kid-friendly learning activities and on weekends kids can pot a plant to take home.
Leif and I paid a visit to the Garden on Tuesday which is their free admission day. Leif and I had an amazing time walking the paths, exploring exotic habitats in the Steinhardt Conservatory, touching and smelling the flowers and plants in the Fragrance Garden, beholding the wonder of the Cherry Blossoms and just being one with nature. He was so excited the whole day and just kept saying that this place is so beautiful and he is so right!

Designed with gorgeous patterns and colors inspired by world travels. Once inside, pull the lantern’s cord and discover a magical light show. Colorful stars are projected all around!

My little one loves his Build-a-ma-jigs Submaplane and plays with it for hours. Now that says a lot about a toy…love B. Toys for that reason. Keeps a child’s attention and imagination going for hours!

ImageImageImageImageImageI have been a fan of Cloud b products since my son was a baby. It all started for me with the Sleep Sheep, an adorable cuddly companion and toy that soothes baby to sleep with calming “white noise” sounds. Well let me tell you that this little Sheep help get mama some much needed sleep!  And so I was sold on Cloud b. Cloud b was founded in 2002 and is a pioneer in creating products and programs that help children sleep. Cloud b has become a trusted name with parents worldwide with their award-winning products that are developed with an Advisory Board of pediatricians, teachers and parents to create products that soothe and comfort children. Recently I was sent the Twilight Carz from Cloud b. an adorable little red race car that will take care of your little one from night to day. It features fully functioning wheels that roll , the headlights and tail lights work independently of each other for daytime fun. After lights out it features projections of cool lightning bolts and stars, along with illuminating headlights and tail lights that are set to a 45-minute timer. It is a sturdy  well made toy, just as you would expect from Cloud b. Twilight Carz ensures complete darkness during your child’s sleep, as recommended by pediatricians. My little one is four years old and just loves his red Twilight Carz. He plays with it all day and grabs it as soon as it is bed time…lights out!

Twilight Carz require 3 AAA batteries that are included. It retails for $30-$32 and is available at retailers nationwide.

Crocs…what can I say, well my Lil Wee’s love affair with them began when he was about 18 months old. A local store was having a going out of business sale and I came across a pair of little size 8 Mammoth Crocs. I thought, well these are cute (this would be my first croc purchase) and Lil Wee might like them and if he didn’t like them or they didn’t fit him no big deal only $1.00.

Well he is now 28 months old and he LOVES his crocs, refuses to wear any other shoe. He loves the Furry Fleece Lining, and the fact that it is a slip on that he can try to put it on himself. He wears them all the time, he calls them his slippers and his shoes and is never without them. It is really so bittersweet how a little pair of $1.00 Crocs sitting all alone on a store shelf found a perfect home on the feet of a little boy. I am so saving this pair! What a memory…the first shoes that were his Precious Little Tootsies First Love…Crocs!

I attended the Huggies Jean Diaper Launch Event in NYC, held at Union Square Park on May 20th. Rebecca Romijn was the Celebrity guest, her husband Jerry O’Connell was in the crowd and mingled with the everyone, a really sweet couple. Huggies put on a fashion show with the Cutest little fashionable models in Diapers around. The Kids were all adorable in their Huggies Denim Diapers. After the fashion show the stage was changed into an interactive green screen booth so the attending tots could have their photo taken and put on a mock magazine as a little souniver for their day of fun in the sun. Huggies also had a little play area set up for their little fans. Samples were given out as well as coupons. The Huggies staff were amazing…so nice and friendly and made everyone’s day a pleasure.
Here is a picture of Lil Wee in his Huggies Denim Diaper…It is titled
“Dancing in Denim”
